How best to use dual nationality passports in one trip?

Specifically, i have dual nationality with Australia and the UK...

If i LEAVE Austalia with my Aus passport, can i ENTER other countries with my UK passport, as long as i return to Aus (on entry) with my Aus passport.

Ie:

Leave Australia on Aus Passport

Arrive Singapore on Aus/UK Passport

Leave Singapore on Aus/UK Passport

Arrive UK on UK passport

Leave UK on UK passport

Arrive Australia on Aus passport

Is that possible? or am i going to go through a gauntlet when arriving in certain countries?

What are your experiences with this?

    Yes!

You can leave Australia on your Australian Passport.

Then use the UK Passport elsewhere,

Then use you Australian Passport when you re-enter Australia.

DEPART & ARRIVE on Australian Passport in Australia is a MUST if you have one.
