What are some funny ways to respond?

I'm due the 17th, and well in the last few weeks I've become rather impatient with all the "still haven't had that baby?" and "still pregnant?" or "you look like you're about to pop!" comments.

I just figured if I don't have something funny to say back, I could end up saying something mean that I'll regret instead.

Any good ideas?

Here's one...When they say you still haven't had that baby yet?

Say, "Nope, he/she is going to stay in there until they are 18."

    When they say Still pregnant?

Say, "Nope, Just went to the grocery store and decided to carry my watermelon this way."

When they say you look like your going to pop...

    Say, "Pop, nah, explode....maybe..."

Yeah, those comments are really inane, but I just smile and laugh (like they're actually funny) because people really do find it hard to start conversations, and often all those pregnancy comments come from people who are well-meaning, but just don't know how to start a decent conversation.

Think of it as an experience that will help you to deal empathically with other pregnant mothers. When you're not pregnant, and you see someone who is, you'll know just what NOT to say to them.

    Best wishes!

still haven't had that baby - yeah, I am not ready to let go off the baby from my tummy yet - you will know when I do - with a wink.

Still Pregnant - Nope, just adding pounds for fun - want to join the Amazongals group

you look like you're about to pop - want to pop me?

A good answer to all of them:

Whisper to them conspiratorially: "Look, you could really help me out here. Go get a needle and we'll just pop this sucker right out of there like a balloon!"

Lol, well at least you know the end is in sight!

Nope I'm having a baby elephant

Stand back here comes my water!

Nah I had the baby then I had them put a beech ball in there, I like people giving me their seat on the bus.

(BTW next time lie about your due date, I always add two weeks or more ;-) )

Say "Nope, just thought I'd keep on the extra few pounds just so you could ask that question!"

Make sure you say it in a funny way though, or else people might take in wrong.

LoL, I remember getting so sick of that ? too..I was 6 days late and that ? is all I heard for 5 weeks. LoL, I told one person once after they asked me that "No, I haven't popped yet..I was waiting until it was convenient for you". She didn't ask me that again.
