During a job interview, how would you answer, "what are your 3 biggest strengths and weaknesses?"?

My thoughts...
Strengths
1. I strive to be the best at what I do ("strive" allows you a get-out).
2. I work best as part of a team, working towards a common goal (if you're going for a job, chances are you won't be there by yourself, and most organisations have some level of teamworking).
3. When things are going badly, I still manage to keep hold of my sense of humour (things will go badly at some point, the issue is how you deal with it).
Weaknesses
1. I get bored once I stop learning.
2. I am too quick to accept responsibility.
3. I am too inquisitive; I like to know how things/systems operate.
The trick is not to think of weaknesses as negatives. The above 'weaknesses' should all be quite positive. For example, what I should have said in the above is that I work best as part of a team, but that I'm not afraid to take responsibility when needed.
Personally I don't think you should use my examples (or any others you might find on the web) but instead come up with your own. Any HR/Interviewer is probably more interested in *how* you answer the questions.
That said, don't say something like "I can't get up in the mornings" as a weakness...

The proper way to address these issues is by saying this for example...
I believe my biggest strengths are 1, 2, and 3 and then give examples of those strengths....like I believe I am a hard worker because on my last job my boss never had to tell me what to do I just did what I knew needed to be done....
As for weaknesses you always address a weakness with a resolution...example..... I believe a weakness I had on my last job was time management, but I spoke to a colleague to give me pointers on time management and since then I have been doing a great job with my time management.
Always leave the interviewer with a positive view of who you are as a person and as a worker. Give examples of things you are asked.

I'd probably respond by asking them why they ask stupid questions instead of thinking of their own questions that might actually be useful. Or why they can't simply use their own head to have a real conversation with me where they might actually learn something useful.
Like anyone answers that question honestly. Typical strengths listed by probably 95% of people: Self-starter. Motivated. Fast learner. Driven. Ambitious. Highly experienced. etc... Typical weaknesses: Too much of a perfectionist (Ha!). Too ambitious. blah blah blah.

i'd say something like.
my strengths are i'm a team player, self motivator and good investment.
my weaknesses are chocolate, pastries, and carbs.
why would you give your weaknesses when you are trying to sell yourself?
