What Are We Supposed To Do With Our Points?

The points are your guide as to how well you are doing and to get you up through the levels.

There are no prizes or rewards, just self satisfaction and bragging rights amongst your friends.

There is no point (sorry about the pun) as points are pointless.

Early on there was the thing where as your reached a level you would get something. The first one was answers wallpaper..... big deal. I have moved up a bit and you get nothing. They had the thing where you got a trip at first for being the top person but of course that turned into people working their "strategies" to get points. There is always weirdos who have no life.

To while away some time and answer a question that might actually help someone...... great. But it is advertising driven for Yahoo.

Points are to motivate you to answer questions in the best way possible. There is no prize for getting more points but it gives me personal satisfaction.

The higher the level, the more you are allowed to contribute to this site. Everytime you move up a level you are allowed to ask more questions and you are allowed to vote and answer more questions too. Although if you are level 5+ (5000 points) then you can ask, and answer as may questions as you like!

But they do provide for "braggin rights." So that's kind of fun.

I think Yahoo! just does the point system because it helps motivate people to come back and answer more questions.
