one easy way would be to format the c driver, ofcourse after taking a back-up, or else simply go to the microsoft website and download the windows clean-up utility and install it. Then launch the utility and select windows live one care from it and get it removed....all the best!!

Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Windows Live OneCare should be in the list of installed programs. Why do you want to uninstall it - it's a good program

What happens before the machine hangs? I've installed it and uninstalled it on several partitions and never had any problem. It is the best all-in-one security system. Just as you needed to perform a Restart when installing it, the uninstallation also requires a Restart to allow OneCare to 'release' the security functions it is currently controlling and monitoring.
