Boot from cd in gateway?

Ok, so i am on this gateway and im trying to boot from a cd but there seems to be no way

Can some1 plz help

    Are you sure the CD is a bootable CD? if you have another compute available, see if it will boot in it. Get in your setup menu, not sure on a Gateway, but it is usually the "delete" "f2" or something like that when you start boot up. Use your arrows to navigate around. Enter to make a selection, +&_ to change things. Make sure you CD is set to first boot & Hard drive is set to second boot device. Make sure you know what your doing in there, if you make a wrong change, you might be toast until you figure out what you messed up & change it back again.

    hit F2 on the start up screen and choose boot in the menu and put boot from CD-ROM

    when you power up hit the DEL key this should take you to the bios screen(it may be password protected, if it is your at a dead end) where you can select this option

    you may have to search the menu options a bit I'm not sure what the bios screen looks like on that model

    i don't recommend attempting this yourself if this is the first time you heard of a bios screen you could really mess up the machine

    Y r u trying to boot from a cd anyway? Can you "restore"? or boot from "last known startup that worked"?
