calling all mechanic's....?
i have a starter out of a 1980 mustang and the starter wont "kick in",.. when i hold down the bendex kicker arm it will kick in the bendex and it spins, but without manually holding it in it wont engage brushes r good, all clean inside, and i tryed 3 battery out of working vehicles, any ideas????

remove the starter and take it to an autoparts store to check.
they usually do it for free
