Are hair brushes harmful?

I agree with damn this man. Plastic ones are the worst offenders when it comes to splitting ends and tearing at the hair.

I comb my hair when wet and only brush my hair about once every 3 days (it's very long). Since I dont brush it half as much as I used to, the condition of my hair has improved dramatically.

I think any brush is ok as long as it's not taking all of your hair out. I know that brushing your hair too much isn't healthy though. So just brush it a few times a week.

You should not brush a perm (unless it has been set and dried)all it will do is frizz other than that it's safe.

Try a natural boar bristle. It's the best.

The brushes with the harder bristles are said to pull out unneeded hair, although they are the most effective. I advise getting a brush that is not to soft or not to hard.

it depends on the texture of your hair. if you have curly hair, brushes can do some damage because they are attempting to straighten something that is not meant to be straight. if you are going to use a brush, you should use one with boar head bristles, they can be a little more expensive though.

I used to tease my hair, lol@Sc3n3 Kidz. besides, all sort of teasing damages your hair. it is somewhat knotting it, yet, I used to apply any brush i could discover. Combs suck.

ur suppose to brush ur hair... so it will spread the oils on ur head... for stying circle brushes are good.
