The best thing to do is wait until you can go to the Vet. They will give your dog the certain kind of medicine they need to get rid of the mites. I wouldn't use anything else - unless you have checked with the Doc first because it could harm your pet in the process. Good Luck!

The best thing to calm whatever might be ailing your dog is to keep cleaning the area. I use unscented, no lotion baby wipes for my dog's ears. I would not puit oil, over the counter neds, or anything else in his ears without a vet's ok. If you want to do an at-home test to see if they are mites, try this:

    1) Using a q-tip, gently wipr oit some of the "dirt" in the ear.

Just get it from areound the outer ear, and do not stick it

    into the canal.

    2) Add a drop or 2 of water to the dirt on the q-tip. If it turns

red, it is ear mite poop. If not, it is something else. Good

    luck!

start up medical care by cleansing out your dogs’s ears till now using oil or drugs. The exudates could be bumped off or the drugs will purely sit down on the waxy substance the place it rather is of no benefit. Veterinarians usually advise using white vinegar (additionally reported as acetic acid), because of the fact it gets rid of airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust and debris and facilitates fix a healthful chemical stability interior the ears. using a small quantity of diluted vinegar (using the two a a million:a million ratio or a million section vinegar to 2 areas of water a million:2 ratio) pour into the ear canal, rubdown the section, then gently wipe the interior the ear with a cotton ball. purely sparkling the component of the ears which you will discover. word: that's no longer a good theory to apply vinegar whilst the ears are sore or ulcerated, as that's going to sting. This abode treatment for ear mites demands 3 to 6 drops of almond oil or olive oil in each and each ear canal. this could smother the mites and would enable the an infection to heal. you will could proceed the oil remedies for 3 to 4 weeks, by putting 3 to 6 drops of oil into the ear canals each and on a daily basis. wait and notice and thorough. remedies can take in to 4 weeks for the reason which you're able to do away with any eggs that would hatch.

I know you can clean his ears out once a day, and that will help remove the build-up of mite junk and wax so the medicine can get into his ear better. To clean, get a dog ear cleaner like R-7 and squirt it into his ears. Then massage his ear at its base, and it should make a squishing sound if you put enough liquid in his ear. He'll probably shake his head next. Then get a cotton ball and squirt a little ear cleaner onto it and rub out his ear with the cotton ball.

Mites are not that common for dogs, but my vet said if you use Frontline on the dog, it helps kill the mites. So if your dog is due for Frontline, give it to him. You can get it at the pet store if you don't have it.

dogs do not normally get ear mites. Unless your vet has diagnosed ear mites. Your dog probably has a slight ear infection which will not be healed with ear mite meds. You will need an oraly antibiotic and antibiotic for the ears. Contact your vet before it gets worse

An antibiotic ointment works well for mites or an infection until you can get your dog to the vet.

Try baby oil. Or something non-toxic of course like cooking oil not spray but liquid. They cant stick to oil. Make sure you do that with a paper towel or q-tip. Hope I have helped you.
