I have Windows Vista home premium?

I heard that Vista's firewall is much better than XP's. Is that true do I need another firewall installed?

I wouldn't call it much better from a protection standpoint, maybe ease of use, but they are overall very similar.

A software firewall is NEVER an acceptable substitute for a hardware firewall. It can be used in conjunction with, but never alone.

yes its better than xp firewall

recommended to disable and install a better one like outpost or zonealarm Full versions

the difference between the 2 firewalls is that vista uses bidirectional filters, meaning that both incoming and outgoing data are scanned.

in xp it only inbound traffic that is scanned

Yes it is better. Just to be on the safe side we went ahead and installed AVG.

It's supposed to be... But just for safety, you should always have your own backup.
