I wish someone had told me about credit and how it works.
I would have never canceled any of my credit cards.
I would have never charged more than 30% of the available amount.
I would have paid early instead of trying to pay on time (mailing made things late in those days!)
I would have never shared debt with my former spouse while married.
I would have had a prenuptual agreement about the finances and things, to avoid payig over 30K in legal fees.
I would have never quit work completely (prohibiting me from getting financing for a home without 2 years work experience in the same field)
I learned a few!!!
Be happy!

No credit cards, or personal loans. By quality, yet not too inexpensive or expensive things that will last over time. I am at the end of experiencing financial burden for the most part. I am just glad that I had this experience at the young age of twenty instead of having to file for bankruptcy down the line. I no longer act spare of the moment just because of how great the situation may seem to appear to be at that given time. Now, I contemplate the outcome of how things will come to effect me financially.

Always try to save 10% of my salary towards retirement.
Start a Roth IRA as soon as you can.
Never charge more on a credit card than what you can afford to pay off the following month.
Never buy too much house.
Invest wisely and spend time tracking your investments.
Have a plan and have goals.
Learn to live within your means and learn to give.
Its not about getting enough money to retire, its what you plan to do when you retire that's important and harder to figure out.
Money can be good and it can be evil, learn the difference and use it as a tool.
Wish I had heard of Dave Ramsey about 20 years sooner than I did.
Do the smart thing, build wealth slowly.
The greatest investment you can make is in yourself.

When you start to make a ton of money save it. There is never a guarantee it will continue. Buy real estate when the market is down. Do not follow the masses. No one is buying real estate right now but in reality its the best time to invest because you can get great deals. Don't do what everyone else does.

i'm stable with the financial section. I discovered lots in college and utilitzed that information. What I desire somebody had advised my mum and dad became to keep for their babies. My dad opened an account for my sister and that i as quickly as we've been 7 and eight years previous. He began it with $20 a chew. That became all he did. He could provide us funds each and every now and then and let us know to place it in the financial company. nicely, we've been young ones and we did no longer have vehicles. the 1st concern extremely some young ones will do is spend it. i needed that he had had the effortless-experience to do it himself. as quickly as a had a social risk-free practices huge type for my daughter I opened a brokerage account and offered some penny shares for her that are doing o.k. (offered them 10 years in the past). I opened a CD account for her 3 years in the past with a 5 one year term and opened a mark downs account. She has a mark downs account. She does on line surveys and places 60p.c.of the money she earns from them in her mark downs, 10% in church, and spends the rest on what she needs. i'm doing all i understand for her. Any financial product i exploit i exploit the comparable for her. attempting to no longer make the comparable errors my mum and dad made with me.

I wish someone had convinced me to pour money like crazy into my 401k as soon as I started working. If I had done more then, I wouldn't have had to work as hard to catch up later. A few wasted years really set me back, and learning this the hard way didn't really help.

Yep - no credit cards.
I am glad I learned after only getting one, and racking up something that isn't too unmanagable

I wish I had been given an good sense of saving money. All my life, in my younger years, money burned a hole in my pocket. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

Plan for your retirement as early as you can. I know there is very little interest in pensions when your young. But you only get one good chance. Also remember that it is harder to make money than it is to spend it
