Karma Question?

Ok have you ever noticed bad karma always comes back fast and furious and at full force. But good karma takes its good old time and bareley is anything great? I try to be the nicest guy possible i mean if u met me u would totally agree but Karma seems to be reverse for me and no matter how many people i help and how many people i show kindness to bad things always happen to me. If someone does a terrible thing to me like telling me to kill myself instead of flipping out on them i tell them sorry for whatever i did to hurt them or offend them. So it cant be that im not nice enough, and i hold doors for people, help around at my and my frends houses, i cook, do my chores but still karma sems to skip me not many good things happen to me. So why does karma take it good old time i actually just want your opinions. And an answer or two would be nice on wat i can do to maybe increase my favour towards karma

You sound like a very nice young man. You told us all about the good things you do, but what are some of the bad things that keep happening to yourself. There's an old saying "God helps those who help themselves".... just insert the word Karma for the word God in the last sentence. Are you putting yourself in situations where you can get in trouble without trying? If you are a teen, then remember, life will get better as you get older.

My son is a strong believer in Karma too. He gives money to homeless people. Thinks that will help him. The other day he found a Five Dollar bill on the ground and gave it to the first homeless person he saw that he could see needed the money.

    Good luck with you!!

Sounds like we sort of think a like. Except I'm not sure I believe in Karma. I am in favor of the thought that if you are nice to people they may be nice in return. At least you have a better chance. But it doesn't neccesarily mean good things will happen to you.Bad things happen to good people and vice vesa. Why is that?Darned if I know. It's a strangeworld. I think the best benefit you get from being a nice person is that you attract other nice people. Sorry, guess I didn't really answer your question. But it was so interesting...

You seem so focused on being rewarded by karma. Maybe you are not doing nice things out of sincerity, but for gratification and that is why you are not having good things happen to you. Perhaps it is a case of literally reaping what you sow?

The idea of being a good/nice person is to do it because it is right, not because you expect something in return. Just be helpful and nice WITHOUT the expectation of a reward and after a while it won't be important to you. I bet that is when you will finally have something good come your way.

Karma takes its sweet time for the good things, trust me.

But the bad things, karma comes back oh too fast.

I'd suggest you keep up the good deeds, and something good will come back, don't worry about it.

You can't do the good deed and expect to be rewarded, just forget about it...it likes to catch you by surprise :]

  • Great question!!! Your experience is probably best explained by past life deeds... I have been through similar periods in my life... It seems that lessons were learned, but that karmic debts must be paid for prior misdeeds... In time the negative karma will be expiated... While this expiation is happening, you are building good fortune... Although this positive karmic reward is being overshadowed, it will become visible and apparent that it was always there over time... Please continue your good deeds and you will be able to see good things ahead... I have been through similar experiences many times in my life... I wish for peace and happiness to come your way soon (visible to you)...

You may not be aware of all the good things that happen or all the bad things that don't . Live your life in the most peaceful way that you can, don't focus on payback. One of the truths in life is to learn to recognize your true wants and Needs. There is a big difference between what you truly need and what you want !

it does seem to take it's time, but for me, it always seems to come through when i really need it, and when you don't expect it. try not to wait for it. that seems to work for me. don\t think about it too much, and it works better. when a bum asks you for change, give them something even if it's just some nickels or dimes. that's where my i've noticed over and over the karma payback. karma is always working for you, you just don't know it sometimes. i had a friend who slept with my girlfriend and i didn't know it. he had to go to court one day, and instead of getting probation like he thought, he got 4 years in prison. ha! thank you karma! we always wondered why he got screwed in court, but now i know why. i even sent him a letter saying - you screwed my girl, you have a bad day in court! that's karma at it's best!

Be patient. Karma knows it's own time and you can not rush it!! I once had a psychic tell me that I was repaying a Karmic debt from a previous life. Besides if you do good for the rewards, you may be doing it for the wrong reasons.

Personally I would love if they came sooner I agree. But if they are to be done right , with all parties satisfied to the fullest extent of the situations the Chicken Korma needs to be done just right. I LOVE Indian food and there is nothing worse that bad Korma. A well cooked Korma is the only thing that keeps me going.

Stop seeing things in a negative way, think positive. Sometimes the good takes a bit of time to get to us. Too much niceness can hurt us, if you really want to say no don't hold back, you'll feel better for it and don't feel bad for saying it.
