First of all - Are you religious? Are you a practicing Christian, Jew, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindu?? If you are an Ardent Practitioner - then your religion will instruct you on how to find and achieve inner peace and serenity, if you accept the precepts and message that the Church has to offer.
If you are spiritual but not necessarily religious, then there are several paths to finding inner peace. One way which many people choose to find peace is through a combination of both the physical and transcendental worlds.
The physical touchstone of the 1st part of Journey to Inner peace begins with the disciplined practice of meditation, via yoga, Tai-chi, self-hypnosis, breathing regression exercises, focused chanting, and by any other means by which an individual can reach a state of awareness and detachment separate from this dimension, where you are floating in the cosmos, connected to everything in the universe, free of guilt, of responsibilities, of the boundaries imposed by society.
Once you reach this state you can forgive yourself of all wrongs that you have committed against yourself and others, and allow yourself to be open to a life of peace and tranquility.

Inner peace comes from accepting the unknown and that you cannot control for what they are. Focussing on that you enjoy and being comfortable with the little you can access or have.

I get inner peace by blasting music on my ipod. Not peaceful, but it helps me find peace inside of me =P

Try to understand two aspects of your questions. Who is trying? For whom trying? In both the case answer is 'you'. Do not try..very trying will create conflict in you. You tend to draw answers from the memories, thoughts, ideas, teaching by elders. You won't have answer to your question through this route. You will discover something that you have already known. However, you are searching unknown, isn't it? You do not know the answer. You are searching an answer which you do not know. So do not persue the same. Instead observe your space....watch yourself as a whole..solving tiny part will never lead to permanent solution. I can help you definitely. Cannot do it through this forum. it's difficult but with practice you can be lucky.You mean inner peace then go inside yourself- the famous personal journal keeping exercise!First clear what disturb your peace!

There is only one Prince of peace and he says if you diligently seek him,it shall be rewarded unto you. So, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and allow his peace to fill you up.

you are right there! take a look in the mirror! i had to do this. sit at my vanity (well my moms..) and stare at myself for like literally a whole day, i asked myself what i liked to do, what i didnt like to do, who i loved, what i loved, and all the things i hated. i asked myself what words ment, like love hate andfriendship. then i got on the computer and researched a bunch of clothes, i found a style i loved and im currently wearing it. i am me, alyssa faith (wont say my last name for reasons of being likeraped or w/e) love takes time for me, hate is when i twich with anger when someone walks into the room, i like to play the piano, i love to talk to boys, i dont like to not be trusted, i hate it when ppl chew with thir mouths open.... you see? it the little things that make you up! im sure you are a wonderful person and i wish you the best of luck to find yourself, although you are right there. its just a matter of being able to talk to yourself. sounds dumb, but it works!

sit on your bed. close your eyes. and breathe. think about every thing that makes you happy. and think about everything you hav. because since you even hav a computer u are very blessed compared to a majority of the world. sing a slow song you love. and every time you get stressed. sing that favrite song.
or i love kids and i close my eyes and picture my best friend. shes 3.
