Does Yahoo answers bug you because of this?
I see a question and answer it, several others do too and all say they need more detail or something clarifying the question. The asker then adds that to the original question but since I already answered it I am not allowed to answer it again. It seems to me if an asker adds details the people answering should be able to adjust the answers the same way.

Yes, but you can always edit your answer by clicking on the edit link below your answer.
My issue with that is that after I answer the question, it is unlikely that I will go back to the question for at least 4 days and it usually is resolved by then.

Go back and look under your answer to the question. If no best answer has been chosen yet or it's not in voting, then there's a choice "Edit" or "Delete."
You CAN edit your answer.

you can edit your answer, go back into the question through your history and click the edit button.
If you did this though, you would be rechecking all your answered questions to make sure you don't need to add anything all the time.
