Hi, has she actually had an apt with a neurologist?and has she had results of MRI back yet? GP's are notoriously bad when it comes to these kinds of probs - but then they are just tha,t General Practicioners. I'd suggest she goes back to the GP even if she's not having symptoms at the moment or see another in the practice if that's possible. If she doesn't get any answers or help and it happens again sometimes the best way is to go to A&E where she should be able to see the duty neurologist.
There are drugs the doc can prescribe for dizziness, stemitil or betahistine. She could try stugeron15 , which you can buy, it's a motion sickness tablet and some doctors do prescribe it.
Try not to panic, I'm afraid you do have to get vocal and persevere, insist that they refer her again or ask for a second opinion. If you can write all the symptoms down as they happen and keep a kind of log, it may help with a diagnosis, include everything - whether or not you think it will be relevant, including how often she needs the loo and so on.
Please don't be too scared - there will be an answer, it may just take some time - keep doing what you're doing and supporting your mum - she's lucky to have you there! if you need to, get the doctor out as well, I know some can be a bit stroppy about home visits, but it is what they are there for.It could be many, many different things so please don't dwell too much at the moment!

I additionally go through with stress and have had extreme panic assaults. whilst they have been extreme, i might actual bypass out. Now in the previous passing out I do flow thoroughly numb yet I in no way experienced the numbness interior the way which you have. keep in mind that panic assaults can final everywhere from 15-20 minutes to a pair hours for some human beings. this could have been the case with you. Your different warning signs are signs and warning signs of an stress attack so I advise you flow see your standard practitioner as quickly as a threat. on occasion drugs is ultimate if respiratory concepts are not working.

Definitely seek other opinions from various neurologists. If one neurologist can't figure out what it is, maybe another one can. Have they considered myelitis? Myelitis is a disease involving swelling of the spinal cord, which disrupts central nervous system functions linking the brain and limbs which can cause numbness and tingling. Sounds to me like it definitely may have a lot to do with something going on with her spinal cord. Wish i could be of more help, good luck! :)

If you haven't already, I think that you should ask to be referred to a neurosurgeon. I would be scared also. I hope everything works out fine. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
