Happy Monday M&F - what interesting thing happened last week?

Well, on Thursday evening the electricity went off a little before 8 pm. I live alone and I am currently in a wheelchair and unable to walk for 3 months. I called and reported the outage. A truck came out but couldn't fix it.

I should tell you I live in South Carolina and it was 106, really 106, that day, broke a record. I checked the temperature then, about 10:30 pm an it was 89 degrees in my house. More trucks came out and they worked and worked. I put some wet washrags in my freezer and took them out one at a time to wipe by brow, as I was sweating profusely. At 12:15 am the temp. in my home was 91 degrees and the humidity was creeping in. Thank goodness they got the electricity back on about 12:45 am. I went to bed about an hour later, so nice to feel that cool air!!!
