AVI file problems?

hi all. i need to play a .avi file and cant find a codec for realplayer? can anyone help please? if not a link to a player that will plat it would be great.

    garpit c is right divx.com its free as long as u dont install the divx converter,which is really slow & crap anyway,but ithe divx player will defo play avi.

    I use videolan player.Download it free & it plays anything I throw at it.
