Unable to delete a blank folder?

I have 2 empty folders which I don't know when they were created but I suspect that they were created when I was trying to retrieve my mp3s from my iPod (the program is called EphPod).

However, windows won't allow me to delete them saying that the files might be in use. I have also tried logging into safe mode to perform deletion but to no avail.

Anyone know of any way or is there any program that can force delete this folders?

Download a freeware program called Unlocker. Google it.

    Install it.

Right click the folder that u r facing problem.

In your context menu, there will be Unlocker option.

Click on it and it will check for u what program is locking that folder.

Unlock it by clicking the "Unlock / Unlock All" button on bottom right.

Then proceed to delete it as normal.

P/S: If Unlocker says it is not lock, u can delete it or u can delete it upon reboot. Anyway play with the program. YOu will get the hang of it

Temporarily disable the program you think is the creator of the folders either from the icon tray or task manager (by pressing ctl+alt+del) then try deleting them if the program is monitoring the folders then window will report them as in use,

Maybe it caused by spyware or add ware (maybe virus too),because you cant delete it even in safe mood.At my computer, click on tools >show hidden files and folder, and uncheck Hide extensions for known file type. Then check the folder,it might be something there. If problem persist, format your computer.

try go to the lower right hand corner of the desktop where the TSRprograms reside... all those little icons that gobble up your memory, put there by egomaniac programmers.. Close out the IPOD one by right clicking on and closing it in the drop down menu... Then try deleting the folders..

The icons will reappear when you reboot.

just restart your pc and then try deleting them.

the reason might be that the files which it had were being accessed when you were trying to delete them.
