There is no place in Christianity for same sex relationships. Friendships yes but it should stop there.

The problem is that modern Christian churches not only condone same sex relationships, they even promote it, which simply confuses those who are unsure of their faith.

The road to happiness and to God is a STRAIGHT one!

Anyone who claims to be a "christian," and not a hypocrite, would be wise to follow Jesus' teachings.

Note that these teachings did NOT include preaching bigotry and hatred against LGBT people (waves to David and Barbra) for fighting against equal rights for ALL.

What exactly are these people, if they are not following Jesus' teachings? God only knows - who will be the one to judge them.

regardless of what any religion says, all truth must come from the source... in this case God. So, for your question, we must turn to the source, as Christians know it, the Bible. To truly understand the Bible passages that are commonly used against gays, one must study the original text, in the original language, to learn that homosexuality in and of itself is not condemned by God in the Bible, but certain practices are.... then again, certain heterosexual practices are also condemned by God in the Bible.

Christ's greatest command was to love your neighbor as yourself. Nowhere does it mention that a man should not love another man as much as himself as that would be a sin... likewise woman/woman. If Christ, and God's Word (the Bible) do not specifically condemn homosexuals, then anyone who claims that "God hates gays" is not well versed in scripture and should turn their attention to the true study of God's word.

    In peace.

i am agnostic lol. so my religion sez nothing..

i just believe that ppl should live and love one another. bring up each other and try to help everyone around u.

one of the reasons why i dont put believe in the bible is because god made men and women and told them to love each other so i dont understand why he would despise them loving each other. not everyone will love the same way, we were alll made different so that is a big contradiction. gays get punished for love.

i strongly believe the europeans changed the bible! i believe it was changed because influencial ppl hated gays and wanted to have a movement against them.. same thing that happened to endorse slavery

Ok, not a christian here but my religion doesn't say anything about homosexuality. Reality is transitory, spiritual development is more important than the physical bonds you have with your fellow homo sapians.

My religion is full blown against it. I'm catholic and gay... ha! How's that for an oxymoron? But seriously, I was born and raised Catholic, but my family is totally against the "Church" norm, trust me. My parents never shoved religion down my throat. They never voted Bush. And the Bible isn't apart of my daily life. So I'm not much of a Catholic at all.

    Orhodox Judaism forbids it.

    Progressive Judaism allows it.

My Rabbi believes it to be a human rights issue, not a moral issue.

My God loves me as one of his gay children.

Christianity is my religion, but I don't really use the Bible as anything more than a history guide, or a reference for something inspiring. The Bible was written by men, mortal, earth bound men, with their prejudices and political agendas from 2000 years ago.

But, God DOES exist, Jesus DID die for my sins. And I KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT GOD LOVES EVERYONE, STRAIGHT, GAY, LESBIAN, BI, TRANSGENDER, WHATEVER....Don't lose your faith in God because the crazy Catholics, brazen Baptists, and bullsh-tting Bible thumpers tell you that you are an abomination against God. They are the abomination and will find this out when they die and God shows them the error of their ways.
