What is 'typical' to tip a sky hop at an airport?
Hi. We are traveling again this year from New Orleans to Denver for a week long trip. Last year was the first time I"d flown in awhile and I will be six mos preg, with my husband, and our toddler son. We will have a good bit of luggage and Im hoping a speedy sky hop will come running when they see me waddling around! I really have no idea how much to tip them...I think I overtipped last year bc the one guy seemed VERY happy with what I tipped! And also, some airlines have that service where u can check your bags before you even get in the airport, do you tip that person?
Thanks, any help would be appreciated as it will be difficult to lug around all that luggage and a toddler, so I want to tip appropriately and maybe slightly more than usual. Thanks!

Sky hops are notoriously unsympathetic. Just have some bills in your hands. $5 a bag, or two small ones, is fine.
$10 if you have a more. If you can afford excess luggage fees, you can afford to give the guy $15 if you have a ridiculous amount or several oversize bags.

Good luck finding a sky hop! You may want to try to arrange one in advance. I was in your exact situation a couple of years ago (pregnant, with my husband and a toddler) and no sky hop appeared to help and we were literally running through the airport "with me barefoot and pregnant" trying to make it to our gate on time. (I didn't have time to put my shoes back on after going through security). Long story.....not so pleasant.......but we did manage to somehow make it to our gate on time. I'm not sure if you can arrange for help in advance, but you may want to try if you are going to have a lot of bags. If not, just arrive very early for your flight so you have plenty of time and don't have to stress (finding a parking space was our problem) or run through the airport. Also, I'm not sure how much you tip a sky hop (i've never been lucky enough to catch one), but I would say at least $10 & probably more. My husband is a big tipper & I have seen him tip the "check at the curb" guy $20 when we have had a lot of heavy bags. However, you can probably do less. I would tip at least $5 & probably more if you have a lot of bags. I believe most airports have a curb check option. So, if you already have your tickets, you should just curb check all your big bags and only have to carry your carryon's through the airport. You can also get a luggage cart (I believe they are called "smarte carts" but you may not be able to take them into the terminal).
Good luck with your trip!

I usually tip a $1.00 a bag. Sometimes $2.00 per bag ( if I only have one bag).
