2008 elections?

I was just wondering, who everyone thought the best candidate is. The 2008 elections are my first and I can't wait! But I'm not sure whether I should vote Democrat or Republican... If I were to vote for a Democrat I'd vote for Obama, because I feel as though when a president already has more than 4 years in office, they know how to abuse of their power... So Clinton (even though she was the First Lady) would have 4 years of this knowledge....

If I were to vote Republican, I'd vote for Giuliani, because I believe he did a good job in NY with the world trade center .... Does anyone know what the candidates views are on:

- iraq war- terrorism- environment- gas prices - ?

If anyone can tell me their opinions and/or what they believe each of the candidates can bring to the country (positive and negative) that'd be great insight

thanks in advance~

they are all full of BS at this point

(politicians can NEVER fulfill most of their promises)

It may be better to vote on character and experience. Vote for the candidate you feel most comfortable with and who has a background similar to your own. This person will probably represent you best.

Personally, I tend to like candidates who were born into the middle or working class, who are not speculative businessmen, who aren't religious, and who look at the world scientifically. (usually no one has all of these qualities, but these are criteria I use in my decision) At this point I lean towards Al Gore, Obama, and Hillary, in that order.

i've got an issue. does anybody remember how after the clintons left the white house that they had to ask hillary to please return the furniture she took from the lincoln room? how about whitewater? not ranting, but things like this disturb me. they give me clear vision through the haze of topics and who supports what and why. i only vote on character, and i've only voted once in my life. these days it seems like nobody can even recognize when someone is being earnest, candid and humble. these things used to mean something to the american people, now they are considered characteristic traits of being a moron. what happened to us and do we deserve to be the most powerful nation the world has ever seen? makes me wonder if we shouldn't have stayed attached to england and the crown, where chivalry and fortitude won the day.

After years of dissapointment over the Bush Administration we need a change... I'm behind Ron 100%

His postions, his integerity.. the fact that he doesn't make faulty promises and actually has the track record to prove it. I believe in lower taxes for the middle class and poor, I believe the war should end and our troops should be safe at home, I believe America needs to revaluate its foriegn policy and negioate with other countries instead of fighing useless wars where so many have died, and nothing has been resolved, I believe everyone is entittled to their privacy and basic civil rights... I believe America should be a democracy where we are not lied to and used by polticians that have their own agenda.. These are the reasons why I believe in Ron Paul

I am IMPRESSED... Republican or Democrat, I have almost never seen a candidate who is so honest and relativistic in his/her thinking, and who doesn't try to please the public but says the things exactly as s/he believes them. If you believe in lower taxes, are anti-war, agianst the partriot act, and believe in honnest government who looks out for our well being not thier own self interests this is the man for you!

Giulinai: I've lived in New York all my life.. everyone knows he's a joke.. go read up on all of his scandals and cover ups.. He will be worse than Bush..

Hillary and Obama: Do you know what their postions are bc they seem to change every week.. They will hike up taxes... Neither one of them have given a clear stance on the war or gay marriges in fear of loosing votes.. We need a change not another cookie cutter poltician who will make promises but won't be able to deliver

I'd revaluate who your voting for and do more research on the issues...

  • MY INSIGHT ON THIS IS... i think hilary is all about putting herself to the plate by stating that she would be the first woman as president... who cares we want to know wwat u are going to do once u get their hopefully not have sex with all ur staff... and i am votin for obama because his views are sumthing that can beenfit us in the long run and guilliani should jus back down, because even though i am from NY i only see him as a mayor not a politcal type on dealin with presidential stuff. so he is jus ok with the world trade center and the crime but that is only for one city what about a country....
