I am now convinced Reggie Miller will be a Celtic!?
After hearing the interview with KG on the Dan Patrick show. Any thoughts?

This makes me laugh, because it sounds like Hakeem, Clyde and Sir Charles at Houston all over again (except the key players are all a little younger).
But that aside, all the Celtics are trying to do is sign Reggie up to play as a reserve guard playing 10-15mpg. He's apparently still a solid shooter, which is exactly what they'll need coming off the bench when its time for Ray Ray to take a breather.
As for my fellow respondants claiming it won't make any signifigant change to the way they play, maybe they would like to inform us all when the last time was that a team without solid role players coming off the bench won a Championship... and let's face it, that's exactly what Boston want to acheive and rather quickly.

I grew up in Indianapolis watching Reg play for the Pacers. He always carried himself as a player that respected the game and was there for more then just the money. I think the Celtics wanting him to come out of retirement is an attempt to get some attention on a lack luster ball club. I'd be surprised, and frankly a little disappointed, if Reg took the offer. However, he'd probably score more points in those 15 minutes on the court then most Celtics all season!

Its still up to Reggie. He wants to win a ring so he will sign with a contender. Celtics of today havent even played a single game so we dont know how good they will be. having 3 hall of famers on your team doesnt mean the team is an instant winner. Never forget Lakers 2004

If they did, they would definitely get deep into the playoffs. But Reggie Miller is a SG so what would happen to Ray Allen. Maybe Reggie could play PG. We will have to see. But yes, it would exciting to see Reggie come back.

yes indeed...i felt that long time ago...celtics is so conceited though...they are getting the key players from other teams to make their team better.
KG = minnesotta>boston
reggie miller = indiana>retired>boston
Ray Allen>Seattle>Boston
and maybe Sam Cassell
but i think boston deserves it. but i too feel reggie miller will wear the boston uniform.

Celtics still can only compete in the East. Will get blown out by top Western conference teams/

Probably not. But even if he does he won't be the difference maker he was in Indiana. Sorry dude.
