My daughter is nine years old and she loves highschool musical....?

I believe it's OK, I have a 10 yr. old who loves it too. It has been the talk of her school from girls ages 7-13. Tonight High School Musical 2 is on,,,did she tell you..=)

I never thought about it but your right it does remind me of Grease.

Nothing wrong with a nine year old enjoying this movie.

It reminds you of Grease mostly because it really reminds you of Romeo and Juliet - two lovers from the opposite sides; he's a jock, she's a math whiz - three rival gangs try to keep them apart. It's just has a happy ending!

Be glad your daughter is enjoying this musical with some terrific music. I think the strongest message is the song where people are inspired to be themselves (cello, hip-hop dancing and baking) while all the kids are saying "stick to what you know and who you are" - classic high school peer pressure displayed, yet we cheer for the individual.

Ur never too young for High School Musical!!! The first or second time i watched it i was reminded of Grease too. At my middle school where im in 8th grade everyone loves it and the whole elementary school loves it as well.

I have a brother younger than nine who like it but it was on Disney channel so you know its not that bad trust me there are way worse things she could be watching. It is kind of like a kiddy version of grease but everybody is watching it at her school I guarantee you that and I mean it is up to you whether she watches it or not but in my opinion there is nothing objectionable in it.

there's no problem with your little girl liking high school musical. It's a good movie and it wouldn't probably have shown on Disney Channel if it were not suitable for kids.

I think that's perfectly fine. My six and nine year old daughters both love the movie.

My 8 year old and 11 year old girls love this movie. We can hardly wait for the new one to come on tonight. GO WILDCATS!

No it's clean and cheesy. My 9 year old daughter loves it too!

Its ok I think
