How to cope with a bad school district??

We moved this summer and the new school district is not that great. The previous school he attended scored a 10 of 10 while this new school is a 4 of 10. Are we better off in a private school? or just lots of tutoring??

Why would you want to spend extra money on private school. whats the school district like? how bad is it? let him try it for some time and look over his work if you decide its not you don't like the work they give him or the activities going on then go towards private school.

You are better off leaving him where he is, if you ask me. With lots of tutoring. Get involved, and try to get the school to step up and be more educational. I went to a high school that was small and terrible, and somehow made it into college just fine.

Check out charter schools in the area.

    Some are better than others.
