Tony Snow earns 168,000 a year.......?

Press Secretary Tony Snow will leave the goverment in a few weeks.

a close friend to Snow states that QUOTE "he felt he needed to make some more money to help his family, which includes children readying for college."

ok, this guy makes $168,000 a year but yet has financial troubles???

what is wrong with this pictures?

Update:

one4god: thank you, i have a lot of respect for ANY marine, good folks. to your comment, i am not quite sure where you are heading with it, i was more refering to his apperant inability to manage his life with a $168,000 a year. i am not a republican, nor am i a democrate, but i think that mr. snow has done his job good, i heard some of his press conferences and i thought he brought the comments in a good, understandable way, and (although i never met him) he seems quite an honest and nice person

Update 2:

loandude: what does this have to do with being a "bush hater" or not being a "bush hater"?

all i wanted to say is that this guy works for the goverment, has goverment insurance, make 169 grand a year and still has financial issues? i realize that washington may not be the cheapest place to live, but even then 169,000 a year should be sufficient in my opinion.

the only thing I can figure is that his medical bills for his cancer are so much, even with his insurance, he can't do it...

if anyone has a better idea... I'm all ears...

it's really just another example of how very few can afford good health care in the U.S.... even with insurance...

if he can't do it on 168K... what about the rest of us?

Wellll.... He was a commentator with Fox News, he had a radio talk show and he had a lot of speaking engagements.

I would venture to say.... he made over $400000 per year. He took a huge cut in pay because he feels it is an honor to speak for the President of the US.

The other situation, other than the recurring colon cancer is, it is very expensive to live in D.C. or in New York City.

You Bush haters need to lighten up or better yet, get your facts straight.

Isn't this the land of opportunity? If you got the same education level and opportunity...will you honestly say that you would not take the job? Lets be real with ourselves, instead of whining build a better future for yourself...like Mr. Snow has done!

    REALITY CHECK !!

EDIT>>> point taken! I thought it was based on his pay wage and opportunity(s)...forgive me - it was not done in disrespect! Also, don't we all have bills that we struggle with? Even if he makes 168k he has a different lifestyle then ours.

These poor guys working in Washington are all deprived. They should be making at least $100 million a year.

I guess it's all part of the process of taking one step backward to take two steps forward.

Seems like a lot of money, and enough to make 99% of us happy. But he was making much more with FOX, and apparently his family got used to the higher standard of living - which he couldn't maintain on a government salary.

The promblem is that it's such a bad lie.

If he is on the "in crowd" with W, any one thinking he only makes $168k is a fool. I have to guess out of the $2 B per week Bush saps from us, and U.S. anyone on the payroll brings in $100k a week? just a guess.
