Property registering in India - legal view point?
I need some information from the legal angle:
When the head of the family passes away & in the absence of any Will, the property he owned passes on to his immediate family (Wife & children)
Can his wife claim the property as her own & register it in her name (in this case the children are not in agreement with this)?
If the children refuse to this scenario, what might happen?

At First She must take legal hair certificate near Revenue Dept. If the children are minors means need not. If they are 18+ means then they must be there.
