What happen to top contributor?

I had two top contributor (Football and General TV). However when I check a few weeks ago I only had a general TV badge. My first reaction was that I lost my Football top contributor because I was not being active member on the football section (even though I was). So, I click on my profile and I did not see any top contributor badge, (not even one for general TV). I looked at someone else profile that was a top contributor, they also did not have the badge in their profile. Then I looked at a person who used to have three top contributor badges. He only had one (Like me, Yahoo Answer only keep one). So I have a few questions. Why did I lose my top contributors? Why did everyone else lose their top contributors badges? Is their something wrong with Yahoo Answers? Will it ever be fixed? Why did Yahoo Answers only keep one of my badges? When will Yahoo Answers fix it?

I posted this question a while ago. Is there any new updates?

Update 2:

Well, number 1 and 2 for the Football section is a top contibutor in football (I am number 3). And for some reason Yahoo keep the badge I do not care about (general TV). And took away my Football Top Contributor.

Update 3:

Is there anyway I could get rid of my general tv badge and get my football badge back.

    We've been asking this same question on the Forum for weeks. That is generally the ONLY place that the YA team will actually answer -- but even there, we've had not success.

    We seem to be limited to 1 TC badge, now, it is only on the pop-up and not on the profile -- and I think you can't get a TC in a category that you are in the Top 10 Answerers in. At least, that is the 2 that I lost myself, but where I SHOULD still have one, since that is still the area I'm most active in.

    I also asked this question some time ago and I have seen no further explanation.

    I had two areas. and I have seen others I know had 3 reduced to 1 as well.

    I will keep an eye on your question to see if some one knows something I have yet to see
