hdmi receivers can i use hdmi 4 receiver only?
i have a crt projector a rock scaller happy with rgbhv conections 4
video which im happy with but from what ive read hdmi is the way to go 4 sound so im wondering if i can use hdmi effefcitly as a sound cable and use rgb cables for video thanks

HDMI has better sound and Video. If you have an HDMI input on it then all you need is the HDMI cable and it will do both for you.

Why? You can get a decent sound from a digital coax cable which cost far less than the HDMI cable. I don't see any significant benefit in your application.
See HDMI is convenient, but it is not necessarily the right cable for every application.
