Yes, it was creepy. They look directly

into your eyes and seem to be seeing your entire life's story. I felt completely

    naked.

Yes, I have. I've seen Great Horned owls, Screech owls and a few Arctic owls in Montana and Wyoming. There is a Great Horned owl sitting on the roof of a nearby building right now. There are squirrels, rabbits and rock chucks around that they prey on.

Lots of times. They used to be pretty common in the Ozarks and we spent a lot of time camping and visiting relatives in the country. We've become more urbanized now, so don't see them as often, though I think they are still plentiful. The most common here are Hoot Owls and Barn Owls and we have some Great Horned. One of those flew right in front of us at night one time. You could hear a light swoosh as he passed. very cool. peace.

What a lazy person she will never get a job if she lays in bed most of the day do you really think she is looking . How is the home I would think you could eat off the floor with all that time on her hands do you have a meal waiting for you when you get home ?.She could help out in a charity shop or a hospital put to some good all that time once it;s gone you never get it back. Think hard do you really want her round do you really want to keep a roof over her head and feed her i think the time has come for you to ask her to go or it might be easier for you to move then see how she manages.

I am not good with birds.

    Cats.

    Dogs.

    Not birds.

Probably because cats and dogs like me and hate birds.

I actually had a parrot fly up to me one time and decide i needed a bird. Silly parrot. I gave him to a neighbor who said she always wanted a parrot but he wound up with a true parrot lady who had four or five of them.

He couldn't have stayed with me. The cat would have eaten him for sure. Smartest cat you ever did see but hated anything smaller than himself. One time, though, he climbed a tree to attack a birds nest and all the birds attacked him all at once. He ran to the screen door and hanged on it to tell me he wanted in fast. He had hanged on it before but he shook it a lot this time. So, I scared off the birds and brought him in and he ran off to his room and opened the door by twisting the door knob and letting himself in so he could lie down on the bed and calm down. I don't know if you have ever seen a cat with its dander up, but; it is hysterical how puffy they look. you could them by their feet and use them as a powder puff.

I was good with fish but again the cat would have eaten them.

I think I gad a hawk attack me once. But no owls.

I am not the hunting type and I view nature as someone elses home and they never send me an invitiation. I read Goldilocks and the three bears and I apply it to nature. Only in my mind it is a little more like the "Amityville Horror" where the house tells you "GET OUT!!!!". I am not going to argue, "See ya."

I think you just like owls because all they do is ask questions. "Who? Who? Who?"

That is why Yahoo Answers is currently lobbying for a bill kill all the Owls in the world. You know? It is against the rules to ask the same question over and over again. For that reason they must be terminated.

So I guess I ought to check one out before they are all gone.

I may have seen one at an arboretum once upon a time.

Obviously it was not that impressive if I can't remember it.

Yes, but not as often as I would have liked to. These were cute barn owls when we lived out on our farm (before retiring to town in '04).

Also used to see some perched on high wires along the road eyeballing the territory to find prey.

My sister has a huge one in her front yard and my brother-in -law can do this call that sounds just like one and they communicate strangely enough. It is so beautiful and it's the first one I've ever seen that close.
