Okay I know everything about makeup lmao.

The best brand for your skin is definitely Bare Escentuals Minerals. They sell it at Nordstrom, Sephora, etc.

BUT, it does not photograph well. So if you're looking for a foundation that photographs you very well, I will have to say MAC foundation. But a lot of people have acne problems with MAC. The secret is not to use the sponge applicator it comes with. If you use a brush instead to apply it, you won't have problems with acne or skin irritation.

    I hope this helped :)

Source(s): Myself. I use both :) Bare Escentuals for the day. MAC at night/ when I go out :)

it depends on your skin condition and the kind of make-up feel you want to acheive. for example, a make-up artist will definitely go for a more professional range of foundations i.e M.A.C, Bobbi Brown etc. a foundation for everyday wearing should be in liquid form and the best brand which i've tried so far is Clinique. they have a wide range of different foundation to suit different type of skin and it's 100% dermatologist tested, therefore when trying a new brand (if you're new to Clinique) you should feel at ease. they will do a simple 2 minute test to define your current skin condition and will introduce you the perfect foundation suited for your skin. it looks au natural as well, therefore it's a top choice for most of the girlfriends i know.

if you're thinking of going for a more "heavy" look, you can try Bobbi Brown. their range is a more complete (price is definitely higher) range with more selections from tinted moisturizers which can be used as a foundation to a classic stage make-up used foundation in creamy, cake form. this is not formulated for asian skin therefore their foundation color range may not be the best suited for asians. nevertheless, Bobbi Brown is considered as one of the top best cosmetics available for sale in the market right now.

if you are really investing in this foundation, try La Mer. their foundation is flawless although it's not sold worldwide yet. it's worth a try but it'll bomb one's bank account.

    hope this helps.

I dont know much about makeup, but i used MAC studio fix ( a powder and foundation in one) on my prom night. It felt great, looked great, ALL NIGHT. My friend's boyfriend said i looked like a doll. I'd recommend MAC.

I have heard of bare escentuals though, through infomercials. I have no personal experience with it however, I dont usually wear make-up.

bare minerals by bare escentuals, it has won awards, and is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin. try it out foe yourself at any sephora, ulta, macy's, or nordstrom store, to see, how you like it.
