Gallstone disease, biliary colic and cholecystitis are certainly up there as potential causes of your symptoms. Best way to go about the diagnosis is to see your doctor for a complete history and physical, and get some lab tests and an ultrasound exam. Better to go on an empty stomach in case they could get the ultrasound right away. The diarrhea, however, is not a typical symptom of gallstone disease. Reasons to worry and go to the ER include (but not limited to):

    - Fever

    - Vomiting blood or passing blood from below

    - Passage of black, tarry stool

    - Dark discoloration of urine and development of jaundice

    - Sever pain in the abdomen

Other diagnoses are of course possible, but I cannot comment without more specific information. Nevertheless, you picked one of the more probable differential diagnostic considerations.

    Good luck!

PS: Regarding Eve's comment below: the majority of gallstones are in fact asymptomatic (i.e. no pain, etc.). In fact, there are millions of people with asymptomatic gallstones in their gallbladders who are unaware of having them. Even infection/inflammation of the gallbladder (cholecystitis) can sometimes be less symptomatic than usual (e.g. in diabetics) who would consequently present late with gangrenous cholecystitis.

It isn't trustworthy to take action. Gallstones dont get bigger they worsen. After I had my first child I bought gallstones and after a couple of weeks they bought sooo dangerous that I began vomiting uncontrollably..bought very light..belly harm like hell and ended up getting my gallbladder eliminated..Doctor mentioned the stones had been better then plenty he had visible and if left untreated it could were deadly... I recommend u get to a healthcare professional to have the stones eliminated or the gallbladder itself..to be certain a healthful being pregnant u must be within the fine feasible wellbeing earlier than hand. If u not too long ago had a miscarriage I could suppose u must have medicaid or coverage? If so the ones will duvet the fee of the surgical procedure...eight weeks after u must be capable to concieve with out a obstacle plus u wont must fear approximately the stones ever coming again..well good fortune!

yes i had the same kind of pain...i had tiny gallstones which are the worst kind to get because they are small and travel threw your ducts in your body and cause pain as they get stuck in the ducts..i had terrible pain i mean i cant even describe it just the pain was so unbearable i was on the floor in pain..i waited way to long to go to the docs and i ended up with an enlarged liver because the gallstones had done damage to my body like stress....my liver functions were off the charts...gallbladder attacks are caused by food..try not to eat fatty foods like peanut butter or anything fried..DONT EAT ANYTHING GREEN..this is a big one..lettuce is something i can never eat..docs dont tell you this i had to find it out the hard way and alot of ppl tell me the same thing about the foods. try putting hot water bottle on the right side to relieve the pain because nothing works..i tried taking zantac if i feel ones is coming..i had my gallbladder removed but i still get attacks if im not careful just get it checked out...if you wait too long your liver will enlarge and they will think you will have hep b which is stupid because the liver is right by the galllbladder and it is enlarged cause of the pain..i had laproscopic done to have it removed..its day surgery so you dont stay over night
