ESPN apologizes for lost Busch race feed: ESPN has apologized for losing the video of the last few laps of the Food City 250 Busch Series race Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. Viewers at home watching on ESPN2 saw a blank screen for those last laps, which featured a dicey duel between Jason Leffler and Kasey Kahne, with Kahne holding off Leffler to win the race. "We sincerely apologize for briefly losing transmission due to human error and have taken steps to prevent this from happening again," ESPN spokesman George McNeilly said Saturday. "As soon as transmission was re-established we apologized to viewers and replayed the last two laps of the race."(SceneDaily.com)(8-25-2007)

ESPN IS a satellite problem. Their coverage is the worst ever and who else wants to jump the Golden gate after listening to Rustbucket's lame commentary???? Darrell was a great commentator until he started being spoonfed by Toyota.

SICKENING!!!!!!!---- All the Networks run way to many commercials for Nascar events compared to other events of a sporting nature it is just HIDEOUS and when they have Technical difficulties that just adds to it. You can count on between 35-40 different commercials per hour. Old worn out sit coms like All In The Family--Andy Griffith 30 minute shows will have 2 commercial breaks per half hour with about 4 commercials per break for a total of 16-18 per hour.

yep ESPN intentionally had a satellite problem during the last 3 laps to get back at the "man". Stuff happens, at least ESPN replayed the last 3 laps even though tragedy of all tragedies they were not able to bring to you as it happened.

Guess their timer was up on the race so it was cut off.Not he first time an ESPN channel has dropped a feed at a crucial time.

Totally agree! The race where Kasey is doing amazing, they drop the coverage on the last 3 laps! It had to happen then?
Although they didnt do it on purpose, they did apoligize.
Well anyways, go Kasey!

That sucked. Of course, when Kahne actually does something that is good, no one gets to see it all. I agree the replay is not the same. Always better as live as you can get. Hats to ya Kahne
