What to do in Boston over the Thanksgiving weekend?

We are going to be in the Boston area and would like to know as tourist what should we be looking for to do. Arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday. What Hotels are the best , is the attractions or places of interest centraly located. I know it is just 2 full days that we will be able to try and see everything but we would like to see the history and the fun sights. So if you have been to Boston or live there could you give us some ideals as to what you would do. Thank you in advance

We did this in the fall of 2005. We stayed in a campground, South near Lakeville. We caught the commuter train in to Boston early in the morning and bought a tour ticket in the train station. This allowed us to ride their buses any number of times, all day long. It also included a boat ride of the Boston Harbor, everything was very enjoyable.

We wanted to do more, but my wife is handicapped and uses a walker to get around so we skipped things like riding the "Ducks". Those usually are fun and informative.

We did visit "Old Ironsides" on the waterfront. Even with her walker, my wife walked from there up to Breeds Hill. This is also known as Bunker Hill.

Plymouth Rock was worth the trip. There'sa trolley tour there also. I find using these you can see sights you may wish to go back to spend more time at.

The town of Lowell has become a NAtional Historic Site since that's where the industrial revolution began in the United States. The park department has done a wonderful job.

The Minuteman Trail was absolutly breathtaking. Here was our countries beginning, unfolded. There is so much history in this area, it will be hard to do it justice in just 2 days.

    Enjoy
