R & S people, what is the best policy to deal with clones?

Mock them as they have mocked you...Laugh at their deeds...that will show them its not really 'cool' to make a mockery out of good people...

I am more of a P&S person, I commend you, The fact that someone is going outside of his trusted circle to enlist the assistance of others in the fight against troll activity should be enough for people to wake up and realize that we have a 'bullying' problem on our playground. What are we going to do about it, since the 'teachers are in the smoking lounge?' I have blocked the imposter. Right now that is the best I can do. I would go through his profile and report all of his questions and answers, considering he is flying under the guise of another. It is all legitimate concerns and if there are enough reports the profile will be deleted. For the time being, the true 'From The Lebanon,' should make his profile private and lock out any infiltrators. It takes a while for these things to blow over, but he is a good man and deserves better than this.

Firstly, block them. Users with multiple blocks against them are reviewed by Yahoo.

Secondly report them. Say "This user has cloned the following account (insert link to real account here)". Report as many of their posts as you can, saying at the beginning of your report "This is my 2nd/3rd etc report against this user for cloning".

Thirdly, everytime you see a post of theirs, post a comment to alert other users to the fact that the user is a clone.

Fourthly, let the owner of the original account know what's going on. Often a complaint from the original account owner does the trick.

I detest the over use of the report and blocking functions - it causes problems. But users such as malicious clones, pedophiles etc have no place here.

It looks as if someone is having a bad day and has decided to give everyone thumbs down to cheer themselves up....maybe they need a hug ((((thumbs down stalker))))...lol

If I suspect a question from a clone I won't answer because I think that to not answer will make them get bored and go away insha'Allah. I just don't understand what they get out of it. Its sad!

I deal with it in a very simple way. Add the good one to your contacts, and then whenever the clone asks or answers, you will know because the contact sign or logo will not appear beside his picture. That's how I differentiate between the real Proud Muslimah & her clone and also sen b.

Yahoo must reform the rules to control any one to repeat any identity, that is already in use.

It should be posted in R&S, not in Yahoo answers.

Tell everyone to block the clone
