What is the square root?

What is the square root of 4x plus x ,it wouldn't be square root 5x.I came up with 2x + i, so how do you simplify x is it just an imaginary number, so you add 2 which is the square of 4, then add i which is the imaginary number for x, so if anybody has a solution to the problem, I would appreciate the responses, Thanks.

If only the 4x is under the square root, the square root of 4x is 2 sqrt x so add that to x gives x + 2 sqrt x

If the whole 4x + x is under the square root, the answer is the sqrt 5x.

Don't include the i unless you are given that x is a negative number.

you might simplify rectangular root 20 into two rectangular root of five and rectangular root of eight into two rectangular root of two therefore, you might component out two, which leaves two(rectangular root of five + rectangular root of two)^two by way of simplifying additional, two(five+2square root of five * rectangular root of two + two) two(7+ two rectangular root of 10) therefore the last reply might be: 14+ 4square root of 10
