Help identifying a Japanese singer?

Well, I don't think she's actually Japanese, but...

I was in Japan earlier this month. I was watching a top 50 music charts show on television there when I came across this singer. She appeared to be Caucasian and had curly black, shoulder-lengthed hair. She wore black-rimmed glasses and played a piano as she sang.

Her name was shown in katakana for a brief moment before she disappeared from the screen, so I couldn't catch it in time. Does anyone know who this is?

Yep, definitely Angela Aki. And yes, she is Japanese. But she is also American. Her English is really good because her mother is American (Italian-American, not Italian). That's why she sounds awesome when she sings in both languages :)

BTW, I just found out her REAL name is å®è¸èä¸ç¾ (Kiyomi Aki)! I wonder why she goes by Angela...it appears to simply be a nickname.

She's Angela Aki.... She always play the piano when she performs.... She is half-Japnese and half-italian.... she also always wears sporty clothes with numbers on it...
