go to county clerks office where new license plates are issue and you will have to fill out a form and give a value on the trailer so they can issue one make sure you tell them it was given to you and keep the weight they ask for low because trailer tags in texas are priced according to the weight it will carry and if you tell them it was given to you the taxes will be low on the transfer to your name
