I've never personally met anyone who dislikes Harry Potter, no matter how old they are, and then I've even met some kids my age who have never even read it.

I guess that someone could think that they were too old, or that it was beneath them, to read a "kids" book, but only those who are so uninformed about the series that they actually think that it is only a kids book. There are things that will entertain children, and some things that only the older audience will understand.

I've grown up with the Harry Potter books (the Sorcerer's Stone came out when I was seven), and I've always loved them. And as I've gotten older, and have read and re-read some of the earlier books, I've gotten more and more out of them- stuff that I didn't understand when I was younger.

I think that Harry Potter is a series that can be enjoyed by anyone, of any age.

No age is too old! Harry's readers can grow with him.. or adults can pick up the books and enjoy them. I began reading them at the age of 21. I'm still enjoying them years down the track. The first few books are written more simply than the later ones (the stories get more complex with each book), but don't let that put you off! I love Harry Potter books!

Like everyone else said, everyone can read them. There's things that an adult would read in them and get but a child wouldn't, I also think that the books grow up with Harry, I don't think that someone in their pre-teens would be able to comprehend any of the books after the 5th book maybe even the 4th.

No. Did you know J.K Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books and was supposed to be a adults book? But children loved it. So adults should read it too. Even old people. There are absolutely no age limits and I swear on that.

You can't be too old. Though the series started out for children (and, sure, some older people may not like SS very much, and that's okay), it very rapidly turned into a story for everyone who has lived on this earth. It has parallels to real life and human struggles and triumphs. It shows love and hate and the consequences of each. It is a book for all.

I agree with everyone here, there is no age that's too old to be reading any book. I would also agree that the last two or three books in the HP series are not suitable for younger readers.
