Like what's mentioned above, Avon's skin so soft works. If Johnson and Johnson's anti-mosquito solution is available it works better (and it's non-greasy and no fragrance too). Now in alleviating bites, I normally just put alcohol, but if it's really itchy, there's Calamine or caladryl. I come from a country considered tropical and mosquitoes are as normal as day and night. Those things have helped me through the years. Hope it works for you too.

My daughter reacts really bad to mosquito bites. We have found that if she uses a bug spray (Off, Cutter) on her it works pretty good. If she gets a bite, we rub it with an alcohol pad right away (that works the best!) and if she doesn't get to it fast enough she will use cortisone cream and maybe take a benadryl pill.

eat lots of garlic or take garlic pills.
cover any exposed skin with clothing or deep woods off.
hold an ice cube over the bite or use after bite found in most drug stores.

you can put corisone cream on the bites, and to prevent bites use skin so soft from Avon, or try putting the dryer sheets in your pockets.
