How do I get telemarketers to quit calling. I am on the national do not call list.?
I found the web site to register a complaint, but it requires a name or phone number. These calls always show on caller id as name unknown and number unknown. I haven't had a problem yet with repeat calls, I'm concerned with the large number of first time callers.

When people call, take charge. Ask them "who's calling". Ask for their name. Ask for their company name. Ask for their phone number. If they give you a problem, either hang up, or keep asking your questions. Say something like "I never buy anything unless I know who I'm dealing with." After they give their name, company, and phone number, tell them that you are on the national do not call list, and will report them to the FTC and the state Attorney General. Keep your notes.
