Why won't iTunes import my music?
I'm trying to import a lot of music from my computer into the latest version of iTunes. But when I select "add file/folder" and choose the music and click okay, it just does nothing. I know the actual files are just fine, and iTunes imports any music I have on a CD or removable USB. It just won't take it from my computer. Why is it doing this, and how can I fix it? I really don't want to have to burn tons of new CDs all over again...
Thanks in advance!
I use Windows Vista.

iTunes only supports certain file formats (.mp3, .mp4, AAC, AAC+, unencoded .wma through conversion, maybe more) so you must make sure that your files are supported.
If the import option is not working you can always try dragging the folder of audio files to the itunes window and dropping them in the library. that should start the importing process.

it's because Apple does not allow an iPod user to transfer songs from the iPod into the iTunes library of your computer. in short, you can only upload/sync music from iTunes to your iPod, but not from the iPod into the iTunes. that's the rule to avoid file sharing...

If its giving you that much trouble don't use Itunes. Use Media player it does the same thing. Just my opinion.
