why oscillator gives only sinusoidal wave?

    An oscillator with a high loop gain will output a square wave.

    Other oscillators will produce a fundamental frequency and some harmonics.

    A sign wave is desirable in many applications so many oscillators are designed to produce a sine wave with as little distortion as is practical.
