Home Inspectors -- Referrals?

Asking on Travel as locals also post comments here to out of towners.

I will be purchasing a house in either LV or Henderson soon. Can anyone recommend a good home inspection company? I would be very appreciative of your comments and experience. Also if you suggest a stay away company, want to know that one as well.

Thanks for your time.

Realtors are normally the best bet in finding a home inspector. Ask your Realtor, they will not lead you wrong on that one. They will be protected as you will by having a good inspector check out the home you want to purchase.

I haven't had the need to use an inspector but it is a wise move. If I were you, I'd talk to people I know and see who they have used and their comments may give you a better sense than just reading them here.

I believe that inspectors need to be licensed, make sure the one you pick has a permit to do that type of work.

Also, interview them. Ask what they are going to look at and what they will tell you in their report.
