Who is aware that Taiwan's sovereignty is still being held by the US since 1952?

Indisputably, the defining legal instrument of Taiwan's sovereignty is the San Francisco Peace Treaty.

Under the San Francisco Peace Treaty, Japan ceded Taiwan without a recipient and the US was explicitly named as the Principal Occupying Power, Taiwan's legal status is clearly as a territorial cession, occupied primarily by the US with the occupation delegated to the Chinese government in exile named the ROC.

By their words and actions, the US state department and executive show that they know this truth.

The question is: Who else knows?

Does the US congress know?

Do the American people know?

Does the ROC know?

Do the Taiwanese people know?

Does the PRC know?

Do the Chinese people know?

Does the UN know?

Will continued intentional obfuscation by the state department be helpful?
