First of all NEVER do a 100% waterchange on an established tank

you're suppose to do only 25% weekly partial waterchanges with a gravel siphon, that's it

If your tank is heavily plantet you can leave them in there

If not, provide them with a piece of PVC pipe, where they can lay their eggs on, and set up a breeding tank

the following link explains in detail on how to do it

    Hope that helps

    good luck

Let them breed. Some Angels are wonderful parents and it's fascinating to watch them breed and raise their young. I don't know what size aquarium you have and what the other fish are so it's hard to give advice. If the tank is less than 3' long I would remove the other larger fish including any Angel fish that are not the breeding pair. If you have some small tetras or danios in the aquarium I would leave them because they will usually stay away from breeding Angels and are fast enough to get out of the way. If you have a plecostomous get it out of the tank immediately. If the tank is dirty I would do a water change from the other side of the aquarium though only change 10-20% of the water though do every few days on the side farthest from where the Angels are breeding. I wouldn't mess with their area for awhile. Go buy some frozen Baby Brine Shrimp or Cyclop Eeze for when the eggs hatch. Sometimes Angels take a few tries to learn how to breed and raise the babies though don't get discouraged they'll eventually get it right. Enjoy

Source(s): I've bred Angels before and have over 2,000 gallons of aquariums and over 30 years experience.

if they are in a community tank, then breeding will be a bad idea.

Angelfish are protective parents so they will attack the other fish in the tank making thier lives hard.

The best thing to do is seperate the pair from the other fish and add them to a 20 high and allow them to breed in there.

Or you can keep them in the same tank but highly recommended that you get a tank divider to seperate the angels from others.

You can tell they are done breeding, as the the eggs are very visible, and the parents will be faning the eggs which is passing oxygen to the eggs.

You have a few option here.

You could remove the eggs and put them in another tank, divide the eggs from parents or leave them in.

Angel fish can be good parents and protect the eggs but they might also eat them if they still young and inexperienced.

If they start looking after the eggs / fry then you should make sure they are not harming your other fish

Remove them to a separate breeding tank, a community tank is no placefor them to breed, there is little change that any young will survive. The breeding tank ideally should be bare with a piece of slate leaning on the glass to receive the eggs, filtration and aeration is a must.

The eggs will probably look like little white blobs about 1.5 - 2 mm in diameter. She may well lay them on the glass sides of the tank and the male will then hover past them and fertilise them. The fish themselves or any other fish may eat them.

The angelfish will eat the guppy fry and in step with possibility the adults besides in the event that they'd seize them and in good shape them of their mouths. Pairs of angelfish are ultimate saved on my own. They exchange into very aggressive and under pressure from having different fish interior the tank. there is likewise of undertaking they won't shop the eggs (they are going to eat them) considering the fact which you have different fish interior the tank. To effectively breed and advance angelfish you may shop the pair on my own.

If you can watch them after they are born you should move them to another tank/container. If you don't then you run the danger of the other fish eating them.

Remove the babies as soon as you can. Sometimes the adults eat them. You can also buy dividers which allow you to separate the eggs from the adults.
