Not a whole lot. I think the 1980 and 1981 are worth a little more than the 1979, due to the production numbers. I would say these are only worth a few dollars a piece in circulated condition.

    Probably about a dollar.

Good condition in the numismatic world is not good. It is average or below average. This dollar has been very unpopular and you still can obtain many in circulation. Uncirculated coins often are worth more money.

For a circulated dollar, with very little wear, it's probably worth about $3 to a collector.

Looks like you got a lot of answers from people that must really need that 2 points but have no idea of what they are writing about. There are 2 varieties of the 1979 -P SBA dollar. The one that is worth the money is the Wide Rim so-called Near date. The date of the coin is very close to the rim and the rim is wider. A coin dealer can tell you which one you have. The common far date is actually worth the dollar unless it is in high mint state grade. The Near date is selling for $20 in high circulated grades to $50 in high mint state. see a couple of coin dealers or see if you can get a look of a Red Book A Guide to U.S. Coins it has photo's of both types. Hope this answers your question.

    1 dollar

My Grandmother had a bunch of them and they are worth 1 dollar just like they say.

    I asked a coin dealer.

He handed me a set of all 3 mints uncirculated SBDs in an envelope from the mint.

He said" three dollars and it's yours"
