50 Cent - CURTIS Vs. Kanye West - Graduation?

50 will probably sell more because he's so commercial. He puts out what works for him. He just recycles his songs and gives them new titles. Kanye will do well too. People like his humor and he doesn't speak of the same things as 50. But, honestly... how many more albums/songs do we need of him singing about him being 'the greatest' (if only in his own mind). They both claim to be innovators of some new genre or new style, but they really haven't done as much as they think they have. I just think that they are both very arrogant. I think they both need a reality check that everything they have can be taken away as quickly as they accumulated it.

If I had to vote between the two... I'd pick Kanye just so 50 could 'retire' and only be heard as a cameo vocal/rap on someone elses song.

i think in the UK, kanye will sell more - 2 weeks at number 1 for stronger and hes getting support from radio 1. ive heard kanyes album and theres some very good tracks on there - especially Homecoming, Cant Tell Me Nothing, Everything I Am and Flashing Lights. 50 cent has only just started getting plays on radio 1, and though i do like Ayo Technology, i dont think his album will sell as much as Graduation.

I cant be sure about the US however, i would expect 50 cent to sell more because of his popularity, but im not 100% on that one

Kanye West is a way better artist then 50. But since todays Hip-Hop is soley based on dumb songs bout nothin but money and dance, 50 can only win if he put out another in da club or candy shop. If not Kanye will sell twice as much as 50. But i'm thinkin he might not sell as much as Late Registration becuz he needs a beeter single then Stronger.

50 sounds the same. Even uses the same drum kits on multiple songs. He has some decent songs but Hip hop needs to be pushed in another direction to evolve and that's what Kanye is doing. When I first heard the songs on Graduation I was if -fy but to be honest I put my ear right on the speaker and heard the album all over agin from start to finish, I was really loving it. Thank God I'm from Chicago.
