What would you wear to Avenue Q?
I know that it's a Broadway play and all. I've wore suits to Saigon, Chicago, and even RENT. But a suit seems so formal for Avenue Q. Any suggestions?

Try doing business casual. nice brown slacks a maroon button up shirt and leave the top two buttons open. (no tie) And some nice shoes. hope that helps (Avenue Q rocks) I hope you enjoy it

Generally for playgoing I wear slacks and a button-up, could go with or without a tie. Strikes a nice medium between dressy and casual.

any broadway show you attend has the same formality. i went to tarzan on broadway, and there were a bunch of kids on a field trip in jeans. my group was in cocktail attire and we looked down on them, not on us.
