Is this a D-Link ADSL Modem + Router Problem?

I have D-Link ADSL Modem and works fine for more than two months, suddenly i cannot connect to the internet, i checked the modem status there upstream and downstream kbps is ok.

ISP settings remains the same, my subscription is not yet expired, then even i reset the modem many times, I still have no connection...

Downstream LED's can be decieving. Have you ISP run a quick line check on yout telephone line. This will test signal strength between your modem and thier equipment.

More importantly is that noise can LOOK like a GOOD SIGNAL to the modem, thats why the modem had good downstream LED's, the modem 'thinks' the noise is actual data. Don't be fooled by the possible false signal lights, theres a reason why us in the telecomm business refer to them as 'Idiot Lights'.

A quick check from your ISP should clear that likely possible problem.

If you can check the upstream and downstream status, you must have some internet connection. There may be a problem with your browser, or contact you ISP help line.

It's very simple You are plugging the DSL cable in the Ethernet port. All SOHO routers by default will have one RJ-11 Port where You plug in the Telephone Cable and four Ethernet RJ-45 ports where you connect the computers which are separated from one another . If you plug them in the wrong ports they won't work . I also assume that when you plug in the DSL cable in the RJ 45 slot the DSl light on your modem will not glow. Hope I have answered your question.
