It's already happened. As a Canadian, I can't speak about the situation in Mexico, but the United States owns so much of our economy that we might as well be American. Canadian political elites have been pushing closer integration with the U.S. for as long as I can remember.

What do you mean by the North American Union?

I would have assumed you meant the United States, which legally is a collection of 50 different countries--which we know as the 50 states--and 4 territories into a union gathered together for mutual defense and trade.

But that is already a reality, and nearly everyone in the world knows this. Which makes me think you might be referencing something else, but I can't think of what. What are you talking about?
